If humans in good time before the destruction of the sun learn the fusion technique, they will get independent from the sun. They need also to learn how to move the earth too. Then in proper time they can start to move underground and liv under the surface of the earth. Because they no more need a dying sun but need to protect them selves when the earth is wandering through the universe.
